General comments
Behandelduur en interval tot reïmplantatie
Definitieve duur antibiotica behandeling wordt in het MDO besproken.
1. Prothese blijft in situ of one-stage exchange
(duur symptomen < 30 dagen, DAIR procedure–debridement, antibiotica, irrigatie (max 3x), retention- of one-stage revisie)
Behandelduur:
Totale knieprothese: 3 maanden
Totale heupprothese: 3 maanden
2. Two-stage exchange
(meer weke delen beschadiging, fistel en/of moeilijk behandelbare micro-organismen)
Interval tot reïmplantatie:
- goed behandelbare micro-organismen: 2-4 weken
- moeilijk behandelbare micro-organismen: 6-8 weken
Bij voorkeur antibiotica 2 weken voor reïmplantatie stoppen. Peroperatief opnieuw kweken.
Indien kweken negatief: stop antibiotica
Indien kweken positief:
Totale knieprothese: 3 maanden
Totale heupprothese: 3 maanden
