General comments
Slechts behandelen wanneer sprake is van diarree langer sinds 1 week of langer veroorzaakt door mono-infectie met D. fragilis
Om accumulatie van clioquinol te voorkomen wordt aanbevolen het gebruik van clioquinol te beperken tot maximaal 3 kuren per jaar, en een interval van minimaal 2 maanden aan te houden tussen de kuren.
Paromomycine is in Nederland niet geregistreerd maar is een zogeheten "ZFW-middel". Een artsenverklaring kan nodig zijn.
